ForgeMD is available as a desktop app (Tauri), a web platform, and a progressive web app (PWA) on mobile. All platforms share the same local-first data model and sync through the same account.

Desktop app

The desktop app adds local file system access, native notifications, keyboard shortcuts, and superior rendering performance. Download from the Download page:

• Windows — Windows 10 or later (64-bit).
• macOS — Apple Silicon, macOS 27 or later.

Web platform

The web version runs in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. It behaves like a desktop app thanks to service-worker caching and IndexedDB persistence: open app.forgemd.io, sign in, and everything you need loads instantly.

PWA on mobile

On tablets and phones, the responsive interface adapts to small screens. Add the site to your home screen to get a full-screen app experience with offline support.

Signing in

1. Open app.forgemd.io.
2. Create an account or sign in with your workspace credentials.
3. You land in your personal dashboard with any shared workspaces on the left.
