ForgeMD uses Yjs CRDT for conflict-free collaboration. Multiple users can edit the same document simultaneously from desktop, web, or mobile — no version conflicts, no ping-pong.

Live editing & presence

Every editor is visible in the top bar as an avatar. Live cursors show teammates where they are as they type, and presence indicators show who is in the document right now. There is no cap on simultaneous editors.

Comments & threads

Select text and leave an inline comment. Threaded discussions keep context with the content, emoji reactions let the team respond without cluttering the thread, and a dedicated side panel summarizes all discussions on the document.

Suggest edits (tracked changes)

Instead of editing text directly, propose changes — reviewers see a proposal-based diff and accept or reject it. Perfect for reviews, approvals, and editorial workflows.

Permissions & roles

Every document has owner, editor, and viewer roles with granular per-document access control. Workspace members are managed with role-based permissions.

Activity & notifications

Activity tracking records what changed across a workspace, and notifications keep everyone informed about mentions, comments, and updates.
